We set up People Who Paint because after working for numerous decorating companies, we realized that there's so much more to decorating than simply painting walls. We help create amazing spaces, to preserve and revive original beauty, and to innovate and push boundaries, while still honouring historic techniques and good old-fashioned craftsmanship.
We take small projects just as seriously as the big ones. Whether it's a whole house renovation, a shop front, a restaurant refurb, or an original mural, we work with our clients to create amazing spaces.

Alex Park Reeve is from Bath, Somerset. Alex began decorating in his teens and hasn't stopped since. He completed his BA in Visual Communications at University of Norwich before going on to do a masters degree at the Royal College of Art.
Alex is a real master of his craft - he's an exceptionally knowledgeable decorator with a deep understanding of design, materials, and craftsmanship. He is also a brilliant chef and has redefined packed
lunches.
Alex lives between North London and Marseilles with his partner Marion and their baby boy.

Nell Nicholas is a practising visual artist. She studied Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Art School, and Art History & Philosophy at UCL.
Nell has turned her mind to all sorts over the years . Her recent projects have included a three month residency at Ceramica Suro, one of Mexico's largest ceramic and tile manufacturers, artist in residence at Tottenham Hotspur Football Stadium, and creative direction for New York's hottest new restaurant - Comal.
Nell fell into decorating and interiors through her love of design, aesthetics, and getting her hands dirty. She lives between a stable in the Surrey Hills and a warehouse in East London.

We completed this project in Summer 2025.
The flat simply needed some TLC and some fresh colour.

is a practicing visual artist. She studied Fine Art at Falmouth University and City & Guilds of London Art School, and Art History & Philosophy at UCL.
Nell has turned her mind to all sorts over the years . Her recent projects have included a placement at Ceramica Suro (one of Mexico's largest ceramic and tile manufacturers), a residency at Tottenham Hotspur Football Stadium, and participating as creative director for New York's hottest new restaurant - Comal.
Nell fell into decorating and interiors through her love of design, aesthetics, and getting her hands dirty. She lives between a stable in the Surrey Hills and a warehouse in East London.
As well as being highly skilled decorators (only the best!), The People Who Paint team are all talented artists too.
That's Joshua on the scaffold tower. He's an accomplished painter and also teaches drawing at Goldsmiths University.
